Orange Beach softball C/UTIL Teagan Revette voted SBLive’s Alabama High School Athlete of the Week
Congratulations to Orange Beach softball C/UTIL Teagan Revette for being voted SBLive’s Alabama High School Athlete of the Week for May 9-15!
The eighth-grader went 4-for-4 at the plate with a home run, a triple, scored three runs, and had six RBIs in a shutout 16-0 regionals win over Long. With the win, Orange Beach punches their ticket to the 2A state playoffs.
Revette received 51.18% of the vote, beating out Hatton's Chloe Gargis who finished second with 48.61%. There were over 25,000 votes tallied this week!

Riley Quick, Hewitt-Trussville baseball: The Alabama commit tossed six and one-third shutout innings, allowing just three hits, two walks, and struck out 13 batters in a 4-0 game one 7A semifinals win against Vestavia Hills. The Huskies went on to sweep the best-of-three series, and are now headed back to the state finals.
Vance Phillips, Mountain Brook boys soccer: Phillips scored two goals - including the game-winning goal in overtime - to lift Mountain Brook past Pelham, 2-1, for the Spartans' first state title.
Ward Harris, Vestavia Hills boys golf: Harris finished third overall in the 7A state tournament with a two-day total of 142 - leading Vestavia Hills to their second straight 7A boys golf state title.
Brody Capps, Central-Phenix City baseball: Capps hit a key two-run RBI single in the bottom of the sixth inning to beat Auburn High, 6-2, and help Central punch their ticket to the 7A state championship series.
Zack Egan, Pelham baseball: Egan tossed a complete-game on the mound, allowing only two runs and striking out four batters in Pelham's 3-2 elimination-facing win over Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa. He also drove home the game-winning run with an RBI single to send the Panthers to the 6A state championship series.
Taylor Trible, Spain Park girls golf: Trible finished sixth in the state individually with back-to-back rounds of 75, recording a two-day total of 150. With Trible leading the way, Spain Park won the 7A state championship for the second year in a row.
Maddie Massie, Homewood girls soccer: Massie recorded a hat-trick (three goals) to lead Homewood to a 6A state title with a 4-0 win over Northridge.
Chloe Gargis, Hatton softball: Gargis hit a walk-off double to help Hatton defeat Mars Hill, 1-0, and advance to the 2A state tournament.
Kayden Dunn, Brantley softball: The Troy commit went 3-for-3 at the plate with a home run, a double, and had four RBIs in Brantley's dominant 21-0 playoff win over Red Level. With the victory, Brantley advances to the 1A state tournament.
