Morgan Van Dyke of Paradise Honors voted the WaFd Bank Arizona Girls Basketball Athlete of the Week

Van Dyke received 42.01% of the vote, beating out Campo Verde's Kelsey Watts, who finished second with 33.81%

Congratulations to Paradise Honors’ Morgan Van Dyke for being voted SBLive’s WaFd Bank Arizona Girls Basketball Athlete of the Week for the week of Jan. 29-Feb. 4. 

Van Dyke, a junior guard on the Paradise Honors team, scored 16 points for the Panthers in a 59-19 victory at Moon Valley, making her the first girl in school history to score more than 1,000 career points.

Van Dyke received 42.01% of the vote, beating out Kelsey Watts, a junior on the Campo Verde team, who finished second with 33.81%. Lamaiya Woodberry, a sophomore on the McClintock team, was third with 11.07% and Jada Wilson, a junior on the Valley Vista team, was fourth with 6.19%. There were nearly 26,000 votes tallied this week.
