Navae Guidry of Mesquite voted the WaFd Bank Arizona Girls Basketball Athlete of the Week

Guidry received 80.72% of the vote, beating out Highland's Emilee Searle, who finished second with 16.84%

Congratulations to Mesquite’s Navae Guidry for being voted SBLive’s WaFd Bank Arizona Girls Basketball Athlete of the Week for the week of Feb. 19-25. 

Guidry, a junior forward on the Mesquite team, tallied a game-high 27 points on 12-of-15 shooting with nine rebounds, five assists and four steals in leading the Wildcats to a 70-37 home playoff win against Sahuarita. She had 25 points, shooting 58 percent from inside the paint, with 14 rebounds, two assists and three steals in a 54-45 victory over Saguaro.

Guidry received 80.72% of the vote, beating out Emilee Searle, a sophomore on the Highland team, who finished second with 16.84%. Jaila Flowers, a sophomore on the Canyon View team, was third with 1.14% and Jaden Maza, a junior on the Sunrise Mountain team, was fourth with 0.53%. There were nearly 3,000 votes tallied this week.
