Congratulations to Bryant junior Parris Atkins for being voted SBLive’s Arkansas High School Girls Basketball Player of the Week!

Atkins scored a game-high 22 points to lead Bryant to a 64-47 win over Watson Chapel on Dec. 22.

Atkins received58.09% of the vote, beating out Shiloh Christian's Anna McCredy who finished with 40.7%. North Little Rock's Amauri Williams finished third with 0.78% and Bentonville's Maryam Dauda was fourth with0.16%There were more than 31,000 votes tallied this week!

Here are the other athletes who were nominated for Dec. 21-27:

Bailey Augustine, Walnut Ridge: Augustine scored 25 points to lead the Bobcats to a 57-31 win over Piggott.

Sierra Smith, Fort Smith Southside: Smith, who is averaging a team-high 13 points per game, led the Lady Mavericks to a 41-19 victory over Mount St. Mary. The victory was the second in a row for Southside after breaking a 60-game losing streak.

Amauri Williams, North Little Rock: Williams scored 16 points and pulled down 12 rebounds to lead NLR to a 50-48 win over Bentonville.

Maryam Dauda, Bentonville: Dauda filled up the stat sheet with 22 points, 12 rebounds and 5 blocks in Bentonville’s 50-48 loss to North Little Rock.

Anna McCredy, Shiloh Christian: McCredy tallied 17 points, 12 rebounds and 5 steals to lead Shiloh Christian to a 53-38 win over Springdale.

Avery Shelly, Van Buren: Shelly drilled a left-handed runner at the buzzer to lift Van Buren to a 48-46 overtime victory over Bentonville West.
