This week's SBLive's Arkansas boys basketball rankings

Springdale Har-Ber is the new No. 1 in this week's edition of SBLive's Arkansas boys basketball computer rankings.

Har-Ber (17-1) leaped over previous No. 1 Bryant, which is now No. 3 behind Farmington.

Har-Ber is No. 1 in the 6A rankings followed by Bryant and North Little Rock.

Lake Hamilton remains No. 1 in the 5A rankings, followed by Benton, Van Buren and. Marion.

SBLive's computer rankings formula was created using its own linear algebra-based ranking algorithm inspired by the Colley Bias-Free Ranking Method. Colley’s Method was created by Wes Colley, Ph.D., an astrophysicist at the University of Alabama at Huntsville. He devised his algorithm to help address the subjectivity and controversy regarding BCS college football selections in the 1990s and early 2000s, using a method that used no subjective variables.
