SBLive has teamed up with former Gardena Serra star and current pro basketball player Pooh Jeter to bring Southern California basketball fans the returning statistical leaders in Division I men’s college basketball who attended high school in the Los Angeles area.

The top returners in scoring, assists and rebounds are listed below.

TOP RETURNING SCORERS

5. Bryce Hamilton – UNLV – Jr. – F

Hamilton averaged 16 points per game last season. He attended Pasadena High.

4. Matt Bradley – Cal – Jr. – G

Bradley scored 17.5 points per game last year. He was a second team All-Pac-12 selection. Before Bradley graduated from Wasatch Academy in Utah, he played three seasons at San Bernardino High.

3. Jacob Davidson – Eastern Washington – Sr. – G

Davidson averaged 18.4 points per game last year and was a second team All-Big Sky selection. He played high school basketball at Cantwell-Sacred Heart.

2. Remy Martin – Arizona State – Sr. – G

Martin averaged 19.1 points per game in 2019-20 and was a first-team All-Pac-12 pick. He attended Sierra Canyon.

1. Terrell Gomez – Cal State Northridge (now at San Diego State) – Sr. – G

Gomez scored 19.8 points per game last season at CSUN. In the offseason he transferred to San Diego State following a season where he led the Big West in points per game (19.8), minutes per game (37.1), field goals made (207), 3-point field goals made (111) and free throw percentage (94.8). Gomez played high school basketball at Inglewood.

TOP RETURNING ASSIST LEADERS

5 (tie). Ethan Anderson – USC– Soph. – G

Anderson led USC with 4.3 assists per game last season. The Trojans went 22-9 a year ago. Anderson won an LA City Section title with Fairfax in 2019.

5 (tie). Eli Scott – Lolyola Marymount – Sr. – G/F

Scott averaged 4.3 assists per game for LMU last year. He led the Lions in points, rebounds, assists, steals and minutes. Scott attended Chino Hills High School where he won a National Title in 2016.

4. Cameron Shelton – Northern Arizona – Jr. – G

Shelton finished last season averaging 4.4 assists per game for a Northern Arizona team that went 16-14. He was an All-Big Sky Third Team selection. Shelton attended Damien and Chino Hills.

3. Ethan Thompson – Oregon State – Sr. – G

Thompson averaged 4.5 assists per game for the Beavers last season, which was good for fifth in the Pac-12. He attended Bishop Montgomery where he scored 1,948 career points and won a state championship as a senior.

2. Drew Buggs – Hawaii (now at Missouri) – Sr. – G

Buggs contributed 5.4 assists per game last season at Hawaii. He set Hawaii's career assists record in just three seasons with 437 dimes. In the offseason, Buggs transferred to Missouri. He played high school basketball at Long Beach Poly.

1. Kihei Clark – Virginia – Jr. – G

Clark averaged 5.9 assists per game (third in the ACC) as a sophomore after winning a National Championship as a freshman. He attended Taft.

TOP RETURNING REBOUNDERS

5. Eli Scott – Lolyola Marymount – Sr. – G/F

Scott averaged 6.7 rebounds per game for LMU last year.

4. Kessler Edwards – Pepperdine – Jr. – F

Edwards hauled in 7.5 rebounds per game at Pepperdine last year. He attended Etiwanda.

3. Myles Johnson – Rutgers – Jr. – C

Johnson averaged 7.9 rebounds per game last season for Rutgers. He also led the Big 10 in field goal percentage posting a 60.2 percent mark. The Scarlet Knights went 20-11 last year. Johnson attended Long Beach Poly.

2. Isaiah White – Utah Valley (now at USC) – Sr. – G

White averaged 8.4 boards per game last season for Utah Valley. He transferred to USC in the offseason. White attended Damien.

1. Kim Aiken – Eastern Washington – Jr. – F

Aiken averaged 9.5 boards per game for an Eastern Washington team that went 23-8 last year. He graduated from East Valley High School in Redlands, California.
