Top 25 boys golfers in San Diego Section high school golf in 2020
The San Diego Section has a long history of producing world-class golfers, including former Scripps Ranch star Xander Schauffele, who is currently one of the top-ranked golfers in the world.
The top two golfers in the state last season -- La Costa Canyon's Luke Potter and Torrey Pines' Caden Fiorini -- hail from the SD Section. And they were ready to go head-to-head again in 2020.
Here's a look at the top 25 boys golfers in the San Diego Section in 2020. The list is in alphabetical order.

Jonas Appel β sophomore β La Costa Canyon
Appel and teammate Luke Potter comprise the best duo in the state. Appel finished third in the 2019 CIF State Championship, two strokes behind Potter.

Biwer finished tied for 26th at the 2019 CIF State Championship.
Eric Doyle β junior β Cathedral Catholic
Landon Elliott β sophomore β La Costa Canyon
Elliott finished tied for 19th at the 2019 CIF State Championship.
Shane Ffrench β senior β Classical Academy
Caden Fioroni β senior β Torrey Pines
Fioroni finished second at the 2019 CIF State Championship, one stroke behind LCC's Luke Potter.
