Watch: Maalik Murphy, Serra pull away from Notre Dame in fourth quarter of defensive battle

SHERMAN OAKS– A tough defensive effort by Notre Dame pushed the Cavaliers for nearly four quarters on Thursday, but Serra pulled out a 29-14 win over the Knights.
The Cavs led 15-0 at halftime, but Notre Dame got on the board with a long touchdown from Javance Tupouata-Johnson to Kyle Wynn and held them scoreless in the third quarter. Finally, a touchdown from Murphy to Devin Ford put the game away late.
Murphy finished with three touchdown passes, Ford caught for two touchdowns, Darrian Anderson had a touchdown catch, and Elijah Davis ran for a touchdown for Serra. In addition to Johnson's touchdown pass to Wynn, Notre Dame got a rushing touchdown from Micah McGavin.
