Top stars, best performances last week in Northern California high school basketball (Jan. 17-23)
Most of the top teams and players throughout NorCal high school basketball are officially in mid-season form, and it's been showing in the box scores and highlight reels. Here’s a quick look at some of the top stars and individual performances from last week throughout Northern California.

GIRLS BASKETBALL:
Elle Ladine, Pinewood G:
Ladine posted perhaps the top stat line of the week across NorCal girls hoops to lead the Wildcats to a pair of blowout league wins. She put up 28 points, 17.5 rebounds, 6.5 assists, and 3.5 steals per game on 60.5% shooting (72.4% EFG).
Kaitlin Imai, Scotts Valley G:
Imai had a performance for the books on Friday, scoring 44 points on 13-23 shooting from downtown. She averaged 18.5 points, six rebounds, 3.5 assists, and three steals per game in the Falcons' other two games on the week.
Talia Maxwell, Central (Fresno) G:
Maxwell was dominant to lead the Grizzlies to a 3-0 week. She had 30 points on 12-17 shooting and 14 rebounds against league rival Buchanan, and 22 points, 10 rebounds, three steals, and four blocks against Sierra Pacific. Keytonna Ross-Wilson also had a big week for Central.
Stevie Lundquist, Mendocino G:
In Mendo's only game last week, Lundquist dropped 33 points on 10-16 shooting (3-3 3FG, 10-12 FT) to go with six rebounds, two assists, and seven steals in a 61-25 rout of Point Arena.
Karissa Jordan, Coalinga G:
Jordan had 33 points, six rebounds, three assists, and eight steals in a win against Immanuel as the Horned Toads went 3-0 last week.
Amarys Cuellar, Hanford G:
Cuellar led the Bullpups to a 2-1 week averaging 21.3 points, four rebounds, 2.7 assists, and six steals per game.
Nia Anderson, St. Mary's (Stockton) G:
Anderson averaged 21 PPG on a red-hot shooting line of 14-23 FG/8-14 3FG/6-6 FT as the Rams racked up a big win against St. Ignatius and nearly knocked off Missouri powerhouse Incarnate Word Academy. She also averaged 4.5 rebounds, three assists, and two steals per game.
Tegan Gaines, Northgate G:
Gaines led the Broncos to a 2-0 week averaging 19.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 2.5 steals per game.
Ella Skrzyniarz, Vista del Lago G:
Skrzyniarz led the Eagles to a pair of blowout wins averaging 19.5 points, seven rebounds, three assists, and two steals per game on 59.3% shooting. Kira Sadler also came up big for VdL.
Ryka Aprameyan, Evergreen Valley G:
Aprameyan had an unstoppable week for the 3-0 Cougars, averaging 28.7 PPG, six RPG, 3.3 APG, and three SPG on 57.3% EFG. Sophia Williams also had a huge week for Evergreen Valley.
Antonia Vlahos, Castilleja G:
Vlahos averaged 22.5 points, 13 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.5 steals, and 1.5 blocks per game for the 1-1 Gators.
Katie Leeth, Lincoln (Lincoln) F:
Leeth led the Fighting Zebras to 2-0 week averaging 27.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, five steals, and four blocks per game on 56.8% shooting.
Brianna Humphrees, Dixon F:
Humphrees averaged 23 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game on 58.3% shooting as the Rams picked up a pair of blowout wins.
Mikayla Bumgarner, CORE Butte:
Bumgarner averaged 20.5 points and 12.5 rebounds a game as the Lynx went 2-0.
Elana Weisman, Burlingame F:
Weisman averaged 17.7 PPG, 11 RPG, 2.3 APG, and 1.7 BPG as the Panthers went 2-1.
Jada Hunter, Christian Brothers G:
Hunter helped lead the Eagles to a 3-0 week averaging 15 points, eight rebounds, four assists, and seven steals per game on 52.6% shooting.
Peyton Holcomb, Benicia G:
Holcomb averaged 20.5 points, 15.5 rebounds, five assists, and 2.5 steals per game in a pair of wins last week.
Yasmine Garrett, Mt. Diablo G:
Garrett led the Red Devils to a 2-0 week averaging 29.5 PPG on 64.5% shooting.
Livi Fernandez, Riverbank G:
Fernandez averaged 26.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, three assists, and 5.7 steals per game for the 2-1 Bruins.
Caitlyn Cole, Stone Ridge Christian G:
Cole averaged 22 PPG in three games last week, all wins.
BOYS BASKETBALL:
Julius Olanrewaju, Coalinga G:
With arguably the top line of the week in NorCal boys basketball, Olanrewaju averaged 37 points per game on 71.1% shooting (81.1% EFG) to go with 13 rebounds, four assists, and 5.5 steals per game in two wins.
Nick Von Zboray, Ponderosa G:
Zboray dropped 40 points on 15-23 shooting (10-14 3FG) in a win over Lincoln (Lincoln) last week, and had 12 points and eight rebounds in Ponderosa's other game, another win. Casen Chaney also had a big week for the Bruins.
Kiejuan West, Marshall (San Francisco) C:
West led Marshall to a 72-42 win against O'Connell with 38 points in their only game last week.
Tai-Run Williams, Vanguard College Prep G:
Williams had 30 points on 12-16 shooting plus eight rebounds, three assists, two steals, and four blocks in the Lions' sole game last week, a close win over Stockton Christian.
Andrew Pengel, Rancho Cotate G:
Pengel finished with 29 points and 10 rebounds in the Cougars' only game of the week to lead them over Ukiah 45-42.
Kyle Monk, Gregori G:
Monk averaged 32 PPG, 11 RPG, and two SPG on 56% EFG as the Jaguars went 1-1.
Kevin Haupt Jr., Oakmont G:
In the Vikings' only game last week, a rout of Nevada Union, Haupt put up 25 points on 11-14 shooting (3-4 from three) to go with four rebounds, five assists, and four steals.
Braeden Beaman, Sacramento Adventist G:
Beaman averaged 30.3 points, 12.3 rebounds, three assists, and 1.7 steals per game across three games last week.
Dom Girish, Sonoma Valley G:
Girish led Sonoma to a 3-0 week averaging 26.3 PPG on a line of 48% FG/35% 3FG/92.3% FT to go with eight rebounds, 5.3 assists, and two steals per game.
Varick Lewis, Monterey Trail G:
Across four games last week, Lewis averaged 31.5 points, seven rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 4.5 steals per game on 52% EFG for the 2-2 Mustangs.
Jay Clifton, Calaveras G:
Clifton went off for 35.5 points, seven rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.5 steals per game on 56.3% FG/47% 3FG/100% FT to lead Calaveras to a 2-0 week.
Aiden Mahaney, Campolindo G:
Mahaney led the Cougars to a 4-0 week averaging 17 points and 3.8 assists per game on 57.4% shooting and over 70% EFG. Cade Bennett also had a standout week for Campolindo.
Wyatt Rumfelt, Woodland Christian G:
Rumfelt nearly lifted the Cardinals to an overtime victory against Encina Prep in their only game last week, knocking down 13-21 shots (4-6 3FG) to finish with 37 points, 12 rebounds, three assists, six steals, and three blocks. Jonathan Krause also had a big double-double for Woodland Christian in that one.
Philip Worsham, Encina Prep G:
Worsham had 33 points in the aforementioned game with six rebounds, four assists, and six steals, and 28 points and three steals in the Bulldogs' other game last week. Adrian Grace and Jonathan Ferguson also came up big for Encina Prep.
