Congratulations to Madison baseball outfielder Jake Jackson for being voted SBLive’s Southern California High School Athlete of the Week for April 25-May 1!

The San Diego commit had a home run, double, two walks, and four runs batted in against Cathedral Catholic on Wednesday.

Jackson ran away with this week's honor, receiving 77.29% of the total vote.

Jaeya Butler, Aquinas softball: Butler had three hits including two home runs in Thursday's win over Linfield Christian.

Natalie Gleason, Capistrano Valley Christian softball: Gleason had five hits including two triples and a home run in two games last week against Orangewood Academy.

Emma Martinez, Yucaipa softball: Martinez had two doubles against Redlands East Valley on Wednesday, giving her 17 on the season.

Hailey Davis, Boron softball: Davis doubled in both games last week. She is now hitting .727 and has doubled in 13 of 16 games this season.

Amaya Rodriguez, Indio softball: Rodriguez had two hits against Banning on Thursday to extend her hitting streak to 15 straight games.

Robert Corona, Ontario baseball: Corona hit two home runs and drove in five runs in Tuesday's shutout against Montclair.

Patrick Fregoso, Roosevelt baseball: Fregoso had three hits including a home run and a double in Wednesday's win over Norco.

Brandon Ewing, Trinity Classical Academy baseball: Ewing threw a perfect game in Thursday's win over Lancaster Baptist.

Eli Lopez, Los Altos baseball: Lopez was 4-4 with a run and a run batted in against La Serna last week.

Ryan Farrell, Ojai Valley baseball: Farrell had three multi-hit games last week and hit two home runs for the Spuds.

Marcos Cisneros, Hemet West Valley baseball: Cisneros struck out ten batters in his final start of the season, an 8-6 win over Liberty.

Travis Delgado, Marshall baseball: Delgado tossed a five-inning, one-hitter against Mountain View, striking out seven batters.

Myles Patton, Long Beach Millikan baseball: Patton pitched a shutout for 5 2/3 innings against Long Beach Poly, striking out nine batters in the Rams' 1-0 victory.

Leo Veliz, Calexico baseball: Veliz had nine hits in two games last week including a home run, triple, double and nine runs batted in.

Marco Lopez, Hoover baseball: Lopez struck out 21 batters in last week's 4-2 win over Lincoln.

Andrew Nagtalon, Mission Hills baseball: Nagtalon went 3-3 with a triple and three runs batted in against San Dieguito Academy on Wednesday.

Liam Herrera, San Marcos baseball: Herrera homered in the first two games of last week's series against Rancho Bernardo, giving him seven on the season.

Cooper Whitton, Santa Fe Christian baseball: Whitton, a Washington signee, was 6-10 with a home run and two walks in last week's series against Bishop's.

Kevin Takeuchi, Rancho Bernardo baseball: Takeuchi had four hits in last week's series with San Marcos and hit a home run in each of the final two games.
