The brackets for the 2023 CIF Northern Regional playoffs held largely true to form.

Three top seeds in the four divisions earned titles on Saturday night: Clovis East (Division 1), Carlmont (D3) and Branham (D4).

The only upset was in Division 2, where top seed Bishop O'Dowd dropped a 25-20, 20-25, 25-16, 25-19 home match to second seed Sanger.

Clovis East had a tough time but defeated Central Section rival Clovis 25-19, 26-24, 27-25 in the Division 1 finals. Clovis upended Valley Christian (see photo of team below) in five games in a semifinal match.

In Division 3, Carlmont-Belmont needed 33 kills from Sean Murphy to outlast Berean Christian-Walnut Creek 25-21, 23-25, 25-20, 18-25, 15-4 in the finals.

In Division 4, Branham breezed for two games before Carmel would not go down without a long flight as the Bruins held on for a 25-12, 25-18, 35-33 title win.
