Watch: Lincoln cruises past Cathedral Catholic 39-14 to remain unbeaten

Lincoln posted their highest point total against Cathedral Catholic since 1996

MIRA MESA, CALIFORNIAIn the span of five minutes on Friday night, the Lincoln Hornets scored via fumble recovery, touchdown run and touchdown pass on their way to a 39-14 win over Western League rival Cathedral Catholic.

Lincoln scored on their first drive, needing just over two minutes to drive 71 yards for the game's opening score. They then proceeded to punt on each of their next three drives before getting a 34-yard scoop and score fumble return that doubled their lead to 12-0. The Hornets led 32-0 after scoring on their first possession of the second half as they cruised to their 20th straight victory.

Oregon commit Akili Smith Jr. passed for 181 yards and a touchdown while junior running back Aden Jackson scored touchdowns on three of his 12 carries.
