Look: Arkansas commit Tay Lockett talks win over Mater Dei, early commitment to Razorbacks

Lockett helped the Braves keep Mater Dei scoreless for the first time since 2011

BELLFLOWER, CALIFORNIA — St. John Bosco took down Mater Dei on Friday night, shutting out the nation's top team, 28-0. 

The Braves were able to hold Mater Dei scoreless for the first time since the 2011 season. Among the many St. John Bosco defenders who stepped up on Friday was sophomore defensive back Tay Lockett.

St. John Bosco was able to hold Mater Dei quarterback and Stanford commit Elijah Brown to 115 passing yards on 21 attempts while sacking him three times.

After the game, Lockett discussed his first experience playing in the battle between Trinity League rivals as well as his decision to commit to Arkansas as a sophomore.
