Sierra Canyon is two for two.

The Trailblazers beat Gardena Serra 35-28 Friday night at home to clinch at least a share of the Mission League title heading into the final week of the regular season.

It’s the second straight season Sierra Canyon (9-0) has won a Mission League title since joining the league in 2022.

Junior running back Dane Dunn scored the go-ahead touchdown with a minute to go in the fourth quarter.

Junior Wyatt Becker threw for 189 yards and two touchdowns on 16 of 21 passing. He also added a rushing touchdown. Terrell Cooks had 12 carries for 75 yards and Dunn added 18 carries for 69 yards and two scores.

UCLA-bound wideout Kwazi Gilmer dazzled with five receptions for 80 yards and a touchdown.

Serra (6-3) took a quick 14-0 lead in the opening minutes after a quick score on offense and a pick-six from Tre’ Harrison. But the Trailblazers came roaring back to tie the game at 14-14.

Serra re-took the lead 21-14 before Sierra Canyon answered with a TD connection from Becker to Cole Crawford to make it 21-21 at halftime. 

Serra QB Jimmy Butler scored two touchdowns (one passing, one rushing) including a pass to Zacharyus Williams to tie the game at 28-28 with 8:37 left in the game.
