Here are the top Southern California football scores, notes and stats from Friday, October 20 (Week 9).

No. 1 St. John Bosco (8-1) clinched at least a share of the Trinty League title with a 42-20 route of No. 11 JSerra (4-5) thanks to a multi-touchdown passing day from QB Caleb Sanchez.

No. 2 Mater Dei (8-1) bounced back from a shutout loss to St. John Bosco last week with a dominating 55-13 win over No. 7 Orange Lutheran (5-4) Thursday night. The Monarchs scored on nine of their 10 possessions. Elijah Brown threw four TDs.

No. 3 Corona Centennial (7-2) took down No. 16 Murrieta Valley (6-3) 63-27 thanks to a career-high six touchdowns from running back Cornell Hatcher Jr., who tallied 246 yards on just 14 carries to clinch the Big West League (north division) title.

No. 4 Sierra Canyon (9-0) edged No. 8 Gardena Serra (6-3) 35-28 thanks to a go-ahead touchdown run from Dane Dunn with a minute to play. Wyatt Becker threw two TDs and ran for another.

Serra's Zacharyus Williams hauled in seven catches for 105 yards and a touchdown. The junior wideout is turning into one of the most coveted prospects at the position on the West Coast.

No. 5 Long Beach Poly (8-1) rolled Compton 50-6. QB Darius Curry was 8 for 8 for 153 yards and five TDs.

No. 6 Rancho Cucamonga (9-0) edged No. 13 Damien (8-1) in a Baseline League showdown 36-35 thanks to a game-sealing interception from Dakota Mendoza on Damien's two-point conversion attempt to win the game in the final minute.

Trey Wilson rushed for 153 yards and two TDs on 14 carries for Rancho.

No. 9 San Clemente (8-1) won its third straight with a 35-18 win over Capistrano Valley.

No. 10 Santa Margarita (5-4) was stunned by No. 23 Servite (5-4) thanks to the play of QB Leo Hannan, who threw for 338 yards and four TDs. It was the Friars' first Trinity League win since 2021.

No. 12 Oxnard Pacifica (9-0) continues to roll, beating Rio Mesa 28-3.

No. 14 Mission Viejo (6-3) clinched a playoff berth out of the South Coast League after beating Tesoro 36-0. QBs Draiden Trudeau and Luke Fahey each threw two touchdowns.

No. 15 Oaks Christian (7-2) routed Simi Valley 48-16 in Marmonte League play. It will set up a winner-takes-all showdown with No. 22 St. Bonaventure - which beat Calabasas 42-21 - on Friday for the league title.

No. 16 Los Alamitos (7-2) clinched at least a share of the Sunset League after taking down Huntington Beach 63-13. Junior QB Alonza Esparza is having a breakout year, adding two TD tosses and runs in the win.

No. 18 Palos Verdes (9-0) running attack of Eric Mulkey and Hobbs Brannan anchored a 34-31 win over Culver City. QB Ryan Rakowski connected with wideout Luke Guyton for three TDs.

No. 19 Warren (7-2) raced to a 40-6 win over La Mirada.

No. 20 Valencia (8-1) was led by Jackson Askins' 275 yards passing and four touchdowns. He also ran for more than 100 yards in the Vikings' 37-7 win over Hart.

No. 21 San Juan Hills (8-1) was stunned by Trabuco Hills 24-17 in a Sea View League showdown.

No. 24 Villa Park (8-1) edged Yorba Linda 34-33 in an overtime thriller. 

No. 25 Chaparral (6-3) won its second straight with a 17-13 win at Norco thanks to stout defensive performance.
