No. 2 Mater Dei (8-1) bounced back from a shutout loss to St. John Bosco last week with a dominating 55-13 win over No. 7 Orange Lutheran (5-4) Thursday night. The Monarchs scored on nine of their 10 possessions. Elijah Brown threw four TDs.
No. 3 Corona Centennial (7-2) took down No. 16 Murrieta Valley (6-3) 63-27 thanks to a career-high six touchdowns from running back Cornell Hatcher Jr., who tallied 246 yards on just 14 carries to clinch the Big West League (north division) title.

No. 24 Villa Park (8-1) edged Yorba Linda 34-33 in an overtime thriller.
