Mackenly Randolph, 5-star forward, down to Notre Dame, Michigan State, Louisville
The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
Mackenly Randolph, daughter of former NBA All-Star Zach Randolph, is one of the most coveted girls basketball players in the country, ranked No. 21 in the class of 2024 on ESPN.
Sierra Canyon's 5-star forward revealed her final three college choices at Mission League media day Wednesday afternoon.
"I've spoken to a lot of schools over my whole career, but I'm narrowing it down to Notre Dame, Louisville and Michigan State," Randolph said. "I took two of those visits and take the last one this week."
Louisville will get the opportunity to give the last impression.
Randolph announced a 'Top 5' in August that included Duke and South Carolina, but her list is shorter now as she plans to make a decision before the high school basketball season begins on November 13.

"The recruiting process has been fun, a little stressful. There's a lot to consider with all the opportunities, things that I need and want," she said. "It seems like yesterday I was in eighth grade, and now I'm a senior. I want to take it all in and enjoy the year with my teammates."
Randolph was part of Sierra Canyon's 31-1 campaign last year in a starring role with now-USC star Juju Watkins. Randolph averaged 16.9 points — while shooting 60.8% from the field — 10.1 rebounds and 1.7 steals in 32 games en route to winning the CIF Southern Section Open Division title.
Randolph’s most impressive stretch of the season came when Watkins was sidelined by an injury and missed a crop of Mission League games. Randolph kept the team afloat, which helped her earn Mission League MVP and All-CIF Open Division team honors.
Sierra Canyon did fall short of the triple crown, so to speak, losing to rival Etiwanda in the regional final, which denied it the chance to win back-to-back CIF State championships.
"You have to take all your L's and turn them into lessons," Randolph said.
Randolph will lead the Trailblazers alongside 4-star guard Izela Arenas, daughter of former NBA superstar Gilbert Arenas, and standout sophomore Jerzy Robinson, who is being heralded as the country's No. 1 prospect in the 2026 class.
