CIF State Football championship pairings, Southern California sites announced

For the first time, all 15 games will be played at three different Southern California sites

The California state football bowl championship pairings were all figured out Saturday night.

Sunday, the locations of those pairings were finalized.

The California Interscholastic Federation sent out this morning the destinations of teams to either Saddleback College in Mission Viejo, El Camino College in Torrance or Pasadena City College.

All games are Friday and Saturday, Dec. 8-9.

With one exception, the top five divisions remained at one site — Saddleback. The Division 2-A game between Los Gatos and Central Valley Christian was moved to Pasadena City College. Instead, the 3-AA contest between Acalanes and Birmingham will be played at Saddleback with an 11:30 a.m. start time (30 minutes earlier than the normal noon starting time).

Check back for more details and reaction.

Here are the brackets/results of each division (note: There was no regional playoff in Open Division. Both teams handpicked as top teams in each region).
