Early National Signing Day in California: Look at top Central Section recruits, where they expect to sign

Most of the 13 are staying in Central Valley to play at Fresno State, including state Player of the Year finalist Bryson Donelson

Below are the top senior recruits in the Central Section and where they are expected to sign. In addition, a sentence or two about each player's strength and what they will take with them to the next level.

Seven players from this list are staying local and committed to play at Fresno State.

1. RB Bryson Donelson, Central Valley Christian, Fresno State

A Division 1 ready player who can hurt teams with his explosiveness and punish opponents for extra yards. Can catch the ball out of the backfield.

2. WR Landon Wright, Clovis West, Washington State

Good size at 6-foot-1, 180 pounds with long strides, explosive speed and good pass catching ability.

3. LB Tytus Kjavhi, Clovis West, Fresno State

A fierce, savvy and hard-hitting linebacker with good sideline to sideline speed who can blitz and rush off the edge.

4. OL Davit Boyajyan, Clovis North, Washington

Late bloomer at 6-foot-6, 305 pounds, has nimble feet and can play both RT and RG.

5. WR Marshel Sanders, Clovis West, Fresno State

Uses his quickness and speed as an impact player at both WR and DB, but future may be at defense.

6. DE Connor Warkentin, Clovis North, Boise State

Makes plays with his quickness and strength on the edge by overpowering offensive lineman.

7. WR Jaxton Santiago, Centennial, Boston College

Great size at 6-3, 215 pounds. He can line up wide or tight, using his height as an advantage.

8 DB Trejon Fulton, Liberty-Bakersfield, UNLV

At 6-3, 180 pounds, Fulton has the speed and strength to play either receiver or defensive back at the next level.

9 TE Jace Nixon, Liberty-Bakersfield, Fresno State

A 6-5, 230-pound pass-catching TE who’s not afraid to block. Also has quarterback experience.

10. OL Marsel Akins, El Diamante, Fresno State

With a 6-5, 260-pound frame, Akins can dominate by setting the edge as a left tackle. Does well in pass blocking.

11. DB JoJo Piero, Clovis West, Fresno State

Has the ability to stay with speedy receivers but also not afraid to put his head down and tackle.

12. LB Kado Felder, Washington Union, Campbell University

A fearless, big-time hitter who loves to come crashing down from his linebacker spot and has the ability to drop back in coverage.

13. LB Logan Studt, Buchanan,, Fresno State

A hard-hitter who benches 325, squats 465 and can fill the gap. Good size at 6-2 and 220 pounds.
