Watch: Birmingham girls basketball beats Palisades to cap dominant title run at Tarkanian Classic

The Patriots defeated familiar foe Palisades 68-37 in their last of four lopsided victories at the Tarkanian

HENDERSON, Nev. - For what might not be the only time this season, Birmingham raised a banner and a trophy on Thursday afternoon after winning a championship.

DeeDee Berry led a particularly balanced scoring effort with 16 points as the Patriots took down fellow CIFLACS Open Division contender Palisades 68-37 to win the Sapphire Division at the Tarkanian Classic. The win capped off a thoroughly dominant jaunt through the Sapphire Division in which Birmingham outscored opponents 236-129.

Palisades gave Birmingham a good battle through two-and-a-half quarters before getting blown out in the final stretch, with more than a few highlights of its own. It takes second place in what was overall an impressive, stock-rising showing in Nevada.
