San Diego Section boys basketball playoffs: Quarterfinal scores, semifinal matchups (2/17/2024)
The CIF San Diego Section boys basketball playoffs continued with the quarterfinal round on Saturday night, determining the matchups for next week's semifinals.
Here are all the quarterfinal scores for each game along with the matchups for the semifinal round.

(1) Carlsbad 104, (8) Cathedral Catholic 64
Carlsbad led 20-19 after one quarter before slicing through the Dons for 84 points over the final 24 minutes.
(5) La Jolla Country Day 46, (4) Torrey Pines 45
Wyatt Tilson's put back at the buzzer gave the Torreys a last second victory over the host Falcons.
(2) St. Augustine 67, (7) La Costa Canyon 48
The Saints led 33-27 at the break before pulling away during the third quarter.
(3) Montgomery 49, (6) Mission Hills 41
Montgomery will get their rematch against St. Augustine from last season's Open Division championship game. The Aztecs will take their 14-game winning streak into what is sure to be a raucous environment at St. Augustine on Wednesday night.

Playing without leading scorer Brycen Mackenzie for the fourth consecutive game (illness), the top-seeded Eagles were upset by Scripps Ranch.
(4) El Camino 67, (5) Hoover 65
El Camino held off Hoover and gets rewarded by hosting Scripps Ranch in the semifinal round.
(3) San Marcos 73, (11) Lincoln 52
Facing off for the first time since 2013, San Marcos used a 21-point second quarter to grab the halftime lead and outscored the Hornets by 12 in the third quarter. Jalen Williams led the way with 21 points while Colton Kelley and Richie Ramirez each finished with double digits.
