CIF Sac-Joaquin Section 2024 boys basketball playoff: Updated scores, matchups, bracket, game times (2-19-2024)

Lincoln of Stockton pulls another upset, now faces top-seed Modesto Christian in the final; Del Oro shocks top-seed Jesuit in D1 semifinal, Vanden crushes Capital Christian

There were stunners abound in three divisions of the 2023 CIF Sac-Joaquin Section boys basketball playoff semifinals on Monday.

The biggest may have been Lincoln of Stockton, which for the second consecutive round went on the road to defeat a higher seed, in this case the Trojans defeated a 28-2 Rocklin squad three days after it rocked second-seed Monterey Trail.

Lincoln now hopes to stun the top three seeds when it faces top-seed Modesto Christian, a 64-56 win over visiting Inderkum, in Wednesday's championship game at Golden 1 Center. Both teams enter with 26-5 records.

In D2, fourth-seed Del Oro (24-7) went on the road to beat top-seed Jesuit-Carmichael, 66-62 and will now face third-seed Vanden (23-8) which pulled off a surprisingly lopsided 78-59 win at second-seed Capital Christian (23-8).

Top seed Sacramento (24-7) will faced sixth-seed Christian Brothers (19-8) in the Division 3 championship starting at noon at Golden 1 Center Wednesday.

Semifinal play continues Tuesday in Division 4-6.

Top seeds in each divisions were Modesto Christian (D1), Jesuit (D2), Sacramento (D3), Venture Academy (D4), Ripon Christian (D5) and Stone Ridge Christian (D6).

Defending champions are: Modesto Christian (D1), Whitney (D2), Sacramento (D3), Marysville (D4), Ripon Christina (D5) and Valley Christian (D6).
