CIF Central Section 2024 girls basketball playoffs: Scores, matchups — Clovis West, St. Joseph to meet in D1 finals (2-22-2024)

The top two seeds roll to lopsided semifinal victories; No. 13 Mendota in D4 one of few high seeds to advance to the finals

There were few surprised during the every round of the 2023 CIF Central Section girls basketball playoffs. Most of the low seeds cruised right to the final. 

No better case of that was in Division 1, where heavy favorite and top seed Clovis West won games by 47 and 21 points, including a 71-50 semifinal victory over fourth seed Central on Wednesday. 

Now the Golden Eagles get No. 2 seed St. Joseph, which rolled past third-seed Buchanan, 76-57. Clovis West (29-2) now faces St. Joseph (23-5) in Friday's 6 p.m. championship.

All title games are played at Selland Arena in Fresno. 

The top two seeds advanced Wednesday also in Divisions 2, 3, 5. 

The CIF-CS released its girls basketball playoff matchups Saturday, and the playoffs conclude Feb. 23-24. with games across all six divisions.

Top seeds in each divisions are Clovis West (D1), Monache (D2), Bakersfield Christian (D3), Santa Ynez (D4), Hanford West (D5), Kern Valley (D6).
