Top 25 California high school baseball rankings: CIF Southern Section (2/26/2024)

Westlake stays unbeaten and works its way into the Top 5; Corona Centennial works into Top 10

The latest Top 25 high school baseball rankings in the CIF Southern Section as of Feb. 26, 2024.

Heavy rains last week derailed games from being played, so there isn't a lot of movement in this week's rankings.

1. Corona (3-0)

Idle this past week.

2. Orange Lutheran (5-0)

 The Lancers are rolling early, including two wins this past week over Notre Dame and Corona del Sol (Ariz.)

3. Harvard-Westlake (4-1)

The Wolverines will start Mission League play this week against Sierra Canyon, kicking off a new league schedule that is build around two divisions and less games overall.

4. Huntington Beach (4-1)

Wins over Cypress and Marcus (Tex.) this past week. Big matchup against Orange Lutheran on the 29th.

5. Westlake (7-0)

The Warriors win the Easton SoCal Showdown, beating El Camino Real, 3-1.

6. JSerra (4-1)

The Lions only loss remains to No. 1 Corona.

7. Notre Dame/Sherman Oaks (3-2)

The Knights beat South Hills 9-1. Dominic Cadiz had two RBI. Notre Dame has two-game series with Loyola this week.

8. Maranatha (4-1)

The Minutemen win over Santa Margarita holds up, and so does their only loss: to No. 2 Orange Lutheran. AJ Beltre is hitting everything.

9. Santa Margarita (3-2)

Eagles beat Gahr and Damien this past week. 

10. Corona Centennial (5-0)

The Huskies are led by Matthew Bernath, who's 12 hits in five games. Wyatt Arellano has tallied 11 RBI.

11. La Salle (6-0)

Three players with six or more hits through six games with wins over San Dimas and Bonita.

12. Servite (5-0)

The Friars won the Loara tourney.

13. Bonita (3-1)

Lone loss to La Salle.

14. Mater Dei (2-0)

The Monarchs win game one and two over out-of-state opponets.

15. West Ranch (4-1-1)

Pitcher Jackson Banuelos has 18 strikeouts in 12 innings.

16. Cypress (2-3)

A lot of talent that appears to be still figuring it out early. Big game against O-Lu Tuesday.

17. La Mirada (1-2)

Idle last week.

18. Hart (5-2)

A big stretch for Hart, beating St. Francis, Birmingham and Sierra Canyon. Two Misson League teams and the defending City champ.

19. Sierra Canyon (4-2)

Trailblazers are young and scrappy. Let's see how they do against Harvard-Westlake this week.

20. Chaminade (3-1)

Idle last week. Two games against Crespi this week.

21. South Hills (5-3)

Can't say the Huskies aren't challenging themselves. It will pay off.

22. Camarillo (3-2)

Scorpions' two losses are both by one run, and in in extra innings. Tommy Goodin and Boston Bateman are a dangerous duo.

23. St. John Bosco (4-0)

Nice start for the Braves. Sophomore Jaden Jackson is raising eye brows.

24. Arlington (5-1)

The Lions showing promise early. Andrew Magallanez has seven hits and eight RBI.

25. San Dimas (3-2)

John Nauertz has a hot bat early.
