Top Southern California basketball, wrestling stars from 2/26/24 to 3/2/24

Mercy Miller, Sherman Oaks Notre Dame: Miller had 40 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists in a CIF State playoff victory against Torrey Pines.

Alijah Arenas, Chatsworth: Arenas had 53 points and 11 rebounds in Saturday's win over Washington Prep.

Trent Perry, Harvard-Westlake: Perry had 40 points to help the Wolverines beat Carlsbad 73-72 in Saturday's Open Division state playoff game.

Luke Zuffelato, Santa Barbara: Zuffelato had 46 points in a 85-81 loss to San Marcos.

Drew Clevinger, La Costa Canyon: Clevinger had 27 points, knocking down six 3-pointers in a state playoff win over St. Bonaventure.

Jaden Erami, Bosco Tech: Erami finished with 32 points in a first round state playoff win against Rancho Buena Vista.

Brandon Benjamin, Mater Dei: Benjamin had 23 points, nine rebounds, six assists and two blocks in Saturday's win over Sherman Oaks Notre Dame.

JJ Sanchez, Montgomery: Sanchez had 31 points and seven assists in a loss to Redondo Union.

Jalen Williams, San Marcos: Williams averaged 22 points per game across three CIF State playoff games last week.

Paula Zumstein, Montgomery: Zumstein had a season high 31 points and collected eight rebounds in a win over Temecula Prep.

Deana Thompson, Harvard-Westlake: Thompson averaged 19 points and 11 rebounds across three state playoff wins last week for the Wolverines.

Sarah Ramos, Crenshaw: Ramos had 33 points in Tuesday's playoff win against Victory Christian Academy.

Kaleena Smith, Ontario Christian: Smith averaged 34 points in two games last week, scoring 31 points or more in each of her final seven games of the season.

Noah Stead, Westlake: Stead hit three home runs in Friday's 20-0 win against Sylmar.

Jesse Di Maggio, Dos Pueblos: Di Maggio homered in both games last week, giving him four on the season.

Henry McDonald, Pasadena Poly: McDonald hit his third home run of the season and drove in five runs during Tuesday's win over Rio Hondo Prep.

Lake Mason, Glenn: Mason stole five bases during Thursday's win over Santa Ana Valley.

Taelyn Holley, Murrieta Mesa: Holley had 13 hits including three home runs across six games last week.
