SACRAMENTO — Robert Hinton and Trent Perry combined for 36 points to lift Harvard-Westlake over Salesian 50-45 on Saturday night in the California (CIF) Open Division state boys basketball championship at the Golden 1 Center.
It marks back-to-back Open Division titles for the Wolverines (33-3) and their fifth state hoop championship overall.
Hinton finished with a game-high 19 points while Perry scored 11 of his 17 points in the second half.
Elias Obenyah led Salesian (31-2) with 14 points and De'Undrae Perteete finished with 10 points and grabbed a game-high eight rebounds.
