Orange Lutheran takes the No. 1 spot and Chaminade rises after shocking Notre Dame/Sherman Oaks

The latest Top 25 high school baseball rankings in the CIF Southern Section as of March 11, 2024.

1. Orange Lutheran (8-0)

The Lancers stay unbeaten after beating previously-unbeaten and No. 1 Corona, 4-2.

2. Corona (3-1)

Corona shows it is mortal with a loss to O-Lu.

3. Harvard-Westlake (8-1-1)

Bryce Rainer hit a homerun against Sierra Canyon that almost went up onto the football field.

4. Huntington Beach (6-2)

Linkin Garcia has nine hits, five RBI and a homer in eight games. CJ Weinstein has two triples.

5. Westlake (8-0)

Warriors have some time off before starting Marmonte League play with Calabasas March 19, 21, 22. Nolan Johnson (14), Noah Stead (12) and Johnny Backus (10) all have double-digit RBI

6. Cypress (5-4-1)

Cypress didn't hold up against JSerra once, but twice, with a tie and a win.

7. JSerra (4-3-1)

Brett Kay has his club grinding against top-level competition.

8. San Dimas (7-2)

Saints made a statement with a 9-0 win over Corona Centennial. Landon White has 13 hits and 15 RBI in nine games.

9. Maranatha (5-1)

Steady as it goes for the Minutemen, whose only loss is to Orange Lutheran. Maranatha should win the Olympic League.

10. Santa Margarita (6-2-1)

Trinity League play starts this week against St. John Bosco - Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday.

11. Corona Centennial (6-1)

The 9-0 loss to San Dimas drops the Huskies out of the top 10.

12. Mater Dei (5-1)

The Monarchs are back in SoCal after traveling, and open Trinity League play against Servite this week.

13. St. John Bosco (6-0)

The Braves head into league play against Santa Margarita unbeaten. Sophomore Jaden Jackson leads the team in hits (9).

14. Chaminade (6-3)

The Eagles take two games off Notre Dame/Sherman Oaks last week in Mission League play. That shouldn't be ignored ...

15. Servite (5-2)

The Friars drop two straight, but can prove it belongs in the top-shelf of rankings with three games series against Mater Dei (Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday).

16. Bishop Amat (9-1)

The Lancers made a statement with wins over La Salle and Servite in the same week.

17. Sierra Canyon (6-3-2)

The Trailblazers didn't drop any games in a three-game series with Alemany, going tie-win-win.

18. Calabasas (4-3)

The Coyotes are on a two-game winning streak, including a win over West Ranch.

19. Notre Dame/Sherman Oaks

The Knights falter in a series to Chaminade - which was surprising - but now has to bounce back in a tough two-game series with Harvard-Westlake this week (Tues, Wed.)

20. La Salle (5-2)

La Salle has dropped two straight, but stays in the Top 25, for now ...

21. Arlington (8-1)

The Lions are 5-0 at home.

22. South Hills (8-3)

The battle-tested Huskies will play anyone, anywhere.

23. West Ranch (7-2-1)

The Wildcats are 2-0 in the Foothill League.

24. Hart (9-3)

Hart has won seven of its last eight, including two wins over Valencia in Foothill League action.

25. Camarillo (5-3)

Talent is there, but the Scorpions need to find consistency in the win column.
