JSerra's Brett Kay shows off great recall of 18 years as head coach on CIF Southern Section Sitdown

JSerra has won the last two Division 1 baseball championships led by coach Brett Kay

For some, it's hard to remember what we ate for breakfast. For others, like JSerra baseball coach Brett Kay, memory can be a skill.

On the latest episode of the CIF Southern Section Sitdown with SBLive's Tarek Fattal, Kay recalls the last 18 years of his coaching career with the Lions year by year. He recalls years, player names, records, opponents and scores - all off the top of his head.

JSerra has been to the CIF Southern Section Division 1 baseball final three straight years, and has won the last two in 2022 and 2023.

Kay also proposes a new baseball playoff format that is allows teams to play more than once each round, like a best of three series, for example.
