Orange Lutheran remains at No. 1 in the latest Top 25 rankings for the CIF Southern Section

The latest Top 25 high school baseball rankings in the CIF Southern Section as of March 18, 2024.

1. Orange Lutheran (10-1)

The Lancers win two of three games against JSerra in a Trinity League showdown. Gabe Fraser had three hits and two RBI in the first two games.

2. Corona (6-1)

Panthers win three straight over Norco in Big XIII League play, but two games went into extra innings. Sophomore Anthony Murphy has nine hits and five RBI this season.

3. Harvard-Westlake (10-1-1)

Wolverines sweep rival Notre Dame Sherman Oaks with a 2-1 and 8-5 win last week. Junior Miguel Villegas has emerged as another threat, both from the mound and plate.

4. Westlake (9-0)

The Warriors stay unbeaten and move up to No. 4 after Huntington Beach drops a game.

5. San Dimas (10-2)

Eight straight wins for the Saints, led by a high-powered offense. Six players have double-digits in hits, three of which have double-digits in RBI. Landon White has 18 hits, 18 RBI and four homers

6. Huntington Beach (7-4)

The Oilers drop after losing two straight to Marina and Fountain Valley.

7. Maranatha (7-1)

The Minutemen have started league play 3-0.

8. Santa Margarita (8-3-1)

The Eagles beat surging St. John Bosco two of three times in Trinity League play. Trevor Heishman struck out seven in the rubber match on Saturday.

9. Corona Centennial (9-1)

League sweep of Santiago gets the Huskies back on track.

10. JSerra (5-5-1)

The Lions drop two of three to Orange Lutheran but are still very dangerous.

11. Mater Dei (7-2)

The Monarchs get two of three against Servite last week.

12. Chaminade (9-3)

The Eagles continue to win and are second in the Mission League behind Harvard-Westlake. Chaminade has won five straight, including three last week over Loyola (twice) and Windward.

13. Bishop Amat (10-1)

The Lancers continue to climb behind the play of Miguel Perez, and the arms of Justin Peinado and Aaron Sandin.

14. St. John Bosco (7-2)

The Braves lose two of three to Santa Margarita and will now take on Servite this week.

15. Arlington (10-1)

Off to a 2-0 start in the River Valley League after outscoring Norte Vista 25-0 in two games.

16. La Mirada (8-3)

Five straight wins for La Mirada, including a 4-0 win over South Hills.

17. South Hills (9-4)

The Huskies have won four of their last five.

18. Servite (6-4)

Friars lose two of three to Mater Dei.

19. Hart (12-3)

Seven wins in a row for Jim Ozella's ball club, including a 7-2 win this past week over Crespi.

20. Sierra Canyon (8-4-2)

The Trailblazers split with St. Francis then beat El Segundo on Saturday. Big three-game series with Chaminade this week.

21. La Salle (9-3)

A split with Paraclete raises questions. The loss was 7-1.

22. Cypress (6-5-1)

Split games with Tustin, 4-3 (L) and 10-4 (W).

23. Calabasas (6-4)

Big week against Westlake coming up.

24. West Ranch (9-2-1)

Wildcats are unbeaten in the Foothill League (4-0).

25. Camarillo (8-3)

Scorpions are 4-0 in the Coastal Canyon League.
