Brookfield’s (Connecticut) Shane Weber sets all-time school record for points

Weber now has the school record with 1,364 points

In a season full of accomplishments for Brookfield senior guard Shane Weber, he added an important one to the ever growing list.

On Monday night, Weber scored 46 points, grabbed seven rebounds and dished out five assists in a 69-64 win over Immaculate. With the big performance, Weber set the Brookfield all-time school record for scoring, which was previously at 1,351 points, and now sits at 1,364 and counting.

“I am extremely blessed to be in the position I am, god has a plan and I’ve been trusting it,” Weber said about the accomplishment. “This is great but I know the story isn’t done. It was great you know I was really focused on the win so the fact we got the win as well it was an amazing night. From here I just keep on working as a player making myself ready for college basketball then I also think as a team we just should all have the goal of getting a state championship ring.”

Weber has had a sensational senior campaign so far for the Bobcats, with the guard averaging 30.1 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 2.9 steals.

Highlight of the season for Weber is when the guard dropped a 50-point performance earlier in the season against Abbott Tech-Danbury.

The senior said there’s multiple colleges currently interested in his services after high school, but no official offers as of yet.
