The 2022 Florida (FHSAA) High School Girls Basketball State Championships featured dozens of standout performances. 

Listed below are some of the best performances from the FHSAA girls basketball state championships - from Class 1A through 7A.

TOP STARS FROM FHSAA GIRLS BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS

CLASS 1A

Mimi Larry, Port St. Joe

Larry went off for 16 points, on just 5-of-14 from the field and 3-of-10 from 3-point distance, in their 51-39 semifinal loss vs Wildwood.

Trinidy Harris, Wildwood

The freshman was not fazed by playing in a state semifinal, as she finished with a game-high 17 points in the semifinal win over Port St. Joe. Harris followed up with an 11-point performance in a 39-38 loss to Ponce De Leon in the championship game.

Carmen Jones, Ponce De Leon

In the semifinal win over Madison County, Jones was one of four Lady Pirates in double figures finishing with a game-high 14 points.

Nevaeh McCoy, Ponce De Leon

McCoy finished with a game-high 16 points, including the go-ahead basket to seal the Lady Pirates their second straight state championship.

CLASS 2A

Taijshiah Baldwin, University Christian

Baldwin finished with a game-high 18 points in their semifinal loss vs Faith Christian.

Ciara Hayes, Faith Christian

Hayes finished with a team-high 15 points in the semifinal win over University Christian. Hayes followed up with a 14-point performance in the final, in a 66-59 loss vs Miami Christian.

Camryn Patterson, Faith Christian

Patterson finished with a team-high 21 points, on 9-of-17 shooting from the field in the championship game vs Miami Christian.

Enjulina Gonzalez, Miami Christian

Gonzalez finished with a game-high 24 points, leading the Lady Victors to their second consecutive state championship.

Sophia McCartney, St. John Neumann

McCartney finished with 22 points and 20 rebounds, in their 68-47 semifinal loss vs Miami Christian.

Leah Martin-Gonzalez, St. John Neumann

Gonzalez added 15 points of her own in the semifinal loss vs Miami Christian.

CLASS 3A

Jade Jones, The King’s Academy

Jones finished with a team-high 12 points and 5 rebounds, in their 50-42 semifinal loss vs Cardinal Mooney.

Olivia Davis, Cardinal Mooney

Davis finished with 16 points, on 4-of-10 shooting from the field, including 4-of-7 from long distance in the semifinal win.

Kali Barrett, Cardinal Mooney

Barrett finished with a game-high 19 points in the semifinal win, followed by just 8 points in the championship loss vs Westminster Academy.

Tonie Morgan, Florida State University High- Tallahassee

Morgan finished with 26 points and 6 rebounds, in their 69-52 semifinal loss vs Westminster Academy.

Lena Girardi, Westminster Academy

Girardi had a semifinal game to remember, finishing with a game-high 27 points, including 14 rebounds in the win over Florida High.

Claire Erickson, Westminster Academy

Erickson finished with 22 points, including draining four 3-pointers in the semifinal win.

Maddie Wallhoff, Westminster Academy

Wallhoff finished with a game-high 15 points to lead the Lady Lions to their first state title in 31 years.

CLASS 4A

Nyla Harris, Lake Highland Prep

The Louisville signee finished with 23 points and 13 rebounds, in their semifinal win over Sarasota Booker. Harris would follow up with a game-high 26 points, helping the Highlanders win another state title.

Eleecia Carter, Lake Highland Prep

Carter added 14 points of her own in the semifinal win over Booker.

Chariot Johnson, Sarasota Booker

Johnson finished with a team-high 16 points, in their semifinal loss vs Lake Highland Prep.

Samiyah Briggs, Calvary Christian Academy (Fort Lauderdale)

Briggs finished with a game-high 17 points, in their 49-37 semifinal win over Bishop Kenny.

Markeli Jones-Tynes, Calvary Christian Academy (Fort Lauderdale)

Tynes added 11 points of her own in the semifinal win.

Elizabeth Schnell, Calvary Christian Academy (Fort Lauderdale)

Schnell finished with a team-high 20 points, in their 75-57 championship loss vs Lake Highland Prep.

CLASS 5A

Ta’Niya Latson, American Heritage Plantation

The Florida State signee averaged 27.5 points in the postseason to lead the Patriots to their fifth consecutive state title.

Joey Delancy, American Heritage Plantation

Delancy followed up with 13 and 14 point performances respectably in the semifinals and finals.

Tahnyjia Purifoy, Pine Forest

Purifoy finished with a team-high 26 points, in their semifinal loss vs American Heritage Plantation.

Niylia Wilkins, Pine Forest

Wilkins finished with 21 points and 10 rebounds, in their semifinal loss to American Heritage Plantation.

D’Yanis Jimenez, Charlotte (Punta Gorda)

Jimenez finished with a game-high 15 points, in their 51-46 semifinal loss to Bishop Moore.

Aryana Hicks, Charlotte (Punta Gorda)

Hicks added 14 points of her own, in the semifinal loss.

Brooke Allen, Bishop Moore

Allen led the Lady Hornets with 13 points in the semifinal win over Charlotte.

CLASS 6A

Camryn Robinson, Nease

Robinson finished with a team-high 16 points, in their semifinal loss vs St. Thomas Aquinas.

Allison Fifield, Nease

Fifield added 13 points of her own in the semifinal loss.

Karina Gordon, St. Thomas Aquinas

Gordon finished with a game-high 19 points in the semifinal win over Nease. Gordon followed up with just 11 in the championship game.

Jada Green, St. Thomas Aquinas

Green finished with 14 points in their semifinal win over Nease.

Jada Eads, Wekiva

Eads finished with a game-high 21 points, in their semifinal win over Bloomingdale. She would follow up with a team-high 23 points in the championship game vs St. Thomas Aquinas.

Breanna Gustave, St. Thomas Aquinas

Gustave finished with a team-high 23 points in their championship game win vs Wekiva.

CLASS 7A

Jaida Civil, Vero Beach

The freshman forward showed no nerves in their semifinal game vs Dr. Phillips, finishing with a team-high 18 points.

Davionne Stinson, Vero Beach

Stinson added 14 points of her own, in the semifinal loss vs Dr. Phillips.

Kalea Rainey, Dr. Phillips

Rainey finished with a game-high 23 points in the semifinal win vs Vero Beach. Rainey followed up with hitting the game-winning 3-pointer in the championship game to hand the Lady Panthers their first district title in nine years.

Trinity Turner, Dr. Phillips

Turner averaged 20.5 points per game in the semifinal and championship games for the Lady Panthers.

Janay Quinn, Miami

Quinn finished with a game-high 17 points in the semifinal win over Colonial. Quinn would follow that performance with just 11 points in the championship game.
