Class 2A-Region 3

(5) Lakeside Christian at (4) St. John Neumann: The Celtics (15-12) get to host a first round game despite losing in the district finals to Seacrest. Lakeside Christian (15-11), from Clearwater, also failed to win its district title, losing in the semifinals.

(7) Seacrest at (2) Canterbury: Despite beating St. John Neumann to win the district championship, Seacrest (13-12) must go on the road to start the playoffs. The Stingrays must travel two hours to St. Petersburg to take on district champ Canterbury (17-10).

Class 3A-Region 3

(5) First Baptist Academy at (4) Gateway Charter: These teams just played each other Friday in the district finals. Gateway Charter (22-5) won 70-55. However, FBA (18-7) won the regular-season game 64-63 at Gateway Charter.

Class 4A-Region 3

(5) Estero at (4) Lakewood: Estero lost in the district finals but earned an at-large bid thanks to its 13-10 record. The Wildcats will make a long road trip to St. Petersburg to take on Lakewood (14-11), which also lost in its district finals.

(7) Lemon Bay at (2) Gateway: After winning its second straight district title (and the school has only been open two years), Gateway (17-6) in Fort Myers will host Lemon Bay. The Manta Rays are 15-9 but just 7-7 in their last 14 games.

Class 5A-Region 3

(8) Lely at (1) Barron Collier: This is a rematch of the 5A-District 12 finals, which Barron Collier (21-5) won 76-59. Lely grabbed the final spot in the region despite an 11-14 record. This is Lely's first regional appearance since 2019, while Barron Collier went to the regional finals last season.

(5) Mariner at (4) Seminole: Mariner (18-9) won convincingly in the district finals. Yet the Tritons still have to hit the road to open the playoffs. Seminole (15-8) also is a district champion.

(7) Naples at (2) St. Petersburg: Naples made the field despite its average record (13-12) and losing in the district semifinals to Lely. The Golden Eagles have to travel two hours north to take on St. Petersburg, which is 20-7.

(6) Port Charlotte at (3) Southeast: Port Charlotte makes the field as an at-large team after losing to Mariner in the district championship game. The Tritons are 16-9. Southeast (17-5), in Bradenton, also lost in the district finals, falling to St. Petersburg.

Class 6A-Region 3

(5) Largo at (4) Charlotte: Charlotte's 14-13 record is deceiving. The Tarpons played a ton of good competition, including playing in the prestigious City of Palms. They get to host a first round game because they won their district title. Largo (17-8) lost in its district finals.

(7) Immokalee at (2) Wharton: The Indians (17-11) beat East Lee (15-9) in the district semifinals, so Immokalee grabbed an at-large bid and East Lee did not. The Indians will travel two hours to Tampa to take on a Wharton team that is 21-6 with four single-digit losses.

(6) Countryside at (3) Palmetto Ridge: The Bears have gone 21-3 this season under second year coach John Solak, winning a district title and earning a first-round home game. Countryside (16-9), a district runner-up, will make the long trek from Clearwater.
