Ryan Mack, 3-star safety, commits to Miami (FL) over Alabama, Colorado & Florida State

St. Thomas Aquinas (Florida) three-star safety made his commitment on Monday evening to the Hurricanes

FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA- Playing for the most state championship winningest program in the Sunshine State, St. Thomas Aquinas’ safety Ryan Mack will be back to try and win five in a row. 

On Monday evening, the Raiders’ safety decided after his high school playing days, Mack announced he won’t be playing too far from home at all. 

According to Rivals.com’s Frank Tucker, the (Florida) senior safety would be staying in South Florida Monday evening via Twitter that Mack would be committing to Miami (FL). The defensive star is a 3-star rated prospect according to 247Sports and also had offers on the table from Alabama, Colorado, Florida Atlantic and Florida State. 

Last season for the Raiders, Mack put up some solid numbers out of the defensive secondary. The safety racked up 21 tackles, two interceptions and seven passes defended. 

The safety also had offers from Akron, Georgia Tech, Liberty, Louisville, Marshall, Maryland, Ole Miss, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Purdue, South Carolina, Temple and Western Kentucky.
