Look: Cocoa coach Ryan Schneider ejected against Seminole

Schneider now faces a possible suspension

Cocoa High football head Ryan Schneider, whose team was on the short end of some controversial officiating during a one-point loss to St. Thomas Aquinas, last month, was ejected from his team’s game, Friday night with Seminole (Sanford).

The ejection occurred midway through the third quarter with his team leading 7-3, after an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. The ejection was not for that specific penalty but rather for an accumulation of sideline infractions against Cocoa during the course of the contest. Adam Franco took over the head coaching duties for the remainder of the game.

Following the loss to Aquinas, Cocoa appealed the loss to the FHSAA, but the appeal was denied. Later, however, Schneider and Cocoa did receive an apology from Broward County for it termed “egregious clock management errors.”

Cocoa went on to win the contest, 28-3, as the Tigers seek improved to 5-1 on the season.
