SBLive Sports Athlete of the Week winner
Congratulations to the SBLive Florida Athlete of the Week: Allen Clark, Football, Out-of-Door!

Here are this week's nominations:

Shawn Simeon, RB, Naples: Maybe not everyone knew who Simeon was before last week's region semifinal versus Port Charlotte, but they certainly did afterwards. The tailback rushed for 387 yards and scored seven touchdowns in a 63-33 win.

Jordan Battle, Football, Canterbury: Battle nearly equaled what Simeon did last week in the Lancers' 56-32 win over the Florida School for the Deaf & Blind. The running back rushed for 386 yards and scored six touchdowns.

Nikolas Bearden, Football, Shorecrest Prep: The dual-threat quarterback did the bulk of his damage on the ground in the Chargers' 26-22 Class 2A 8-man state champion win over Master's Academy. Bearden carried the ball 18 times for 203 yards and rushed for two scores.

Dia Bell, QB, Plantation American Heritage: Bell just makes it look too easy every game out. In a 49-7 win over King's Academy, Bell completed 12-of-13 passes for 303 yards and three touchdowns.

Ethan Crossan, Football, First Baptist Academy: At this point, Crossan's weekly stat numbers are looking Madden-like. The First Baptist quarterback completed 25-of-28 passes for 394 yards and four touchdowns in a 50-27 win over Evangelical Christian.

Bjorn Jurgensen, Football, Bishop Moore: Jurgensen made sure the Hornets didn't leave the 904 without a win. The quarterback threw for 190 yards, a touchdown and rushed for 104 and added three more scores in a 37-35 win over Riverside.

Matthew Turner, Football, Bishop Verot: The Vikings' wide receiver had himself a field day against the Estero defense, hauling in seven catches for 238 yards and four touchdowns in a 44-6 victory.

Ennio Yapoor, Football, Miami Norland: Yapoor and the Norland Vikings have set their sights on winning a state championship. He showed why he's one of the hottest quarterbacks playing in the 305 right now, throwing for 428 yards and four touchdowns in a 52-27 win over Monsignor Pace.

Antonio Henley, Football, Gaither: Nobody on the Largo offensive line was able to slow down Henley on the night. The defensive tackle made 10 tackles, six for loss and an impressive six sacks in the victory over the Packers.

Devon Byrd, Football, Cardinal Newman: The Crusaders' defense was stifling in a 28-6 region semifinal win over Benjamin, with the outside linebacker swarming in with four sacks.

Jeremy Johnston, Football, FSU High: Johnston made sure the Seminoles came out on top in the battle of top Big Bend region teams when they faced Wakulla. Johnston completed 15-of-22 passes for 228 yards and four touchdowns in a 42-28 victory.

Jacob Drackett, Football, Calvary Christian: The Air Force commitment became the all-time leading passer in yards in Pinellas County history after his 265-yard, four touchdown performance in a 48-20 win over Clearwater.

Cole Tabb, Football, Choctawhatchee: Tabb right now is a running back possessed. The Stanford commitment led the way in a 38-7 throttling of Lincoln, rushing for 192 yards on 21 carries and scoring four times.

Josiah Taylor, Football, Sebring: The 6-foot, 200-pound linebacker is an absolute tackling machine for the Blue Streaks. Taylor led the defensive effort in a 21-12 win over Eau Gallie, racking up a team-high 17 tackles.

Chase Phillips, Football, Baker County: So Phillips' numbers won't blow you away, but the freshman seemingly made a contribution almost everywhere in Baker County's 32-14 win over Yulee. Phillips rushed four times for 10 yards, caught a pass for 10 yards, made four solo tackles and intercepted two passes. Not bad for a freshman, huh?

Zac Katz, Football, True North Classical: Katz is one of the top rising stars at the quarterback position down in South Florida and he proved it again in a 48-16 win over Westminster Christian. The freshman completed 17-of-20 passes for 357 yards and four touchdowns.
