Here are the candidates for SBLive’s Florida High School Athlete of the Week for Dec. 11-Dec. 16 as nominated by fans, readers and SBLive’s staff. Read through the nominees and cast your vote at the bottom of the page. Voting will conclude on Saturday, December 23rd at 11:59 p.m. and the winner will be announced in next week's poll.

Here are this week's nominations:

Sevastian Rosado, Boys Basketball, Frostproof: The diminutive combo guard plays anything but small on the court. Rosado went off in a 74-54 win over Lake Placid, scoring 41 points on 16-of-19 shooting, including 4-of-6 from downtown. 

Isaiah Campbell-Finch, Boys Basketball, Tampa Catholic: Needing to leave it all out on the court, the junior point guard made it happen for the Crusaders. In a 75-69 victory over Berkeley Prep, Campbell-Finch scored 42 points on 15-of-26 shooting. 

Deylen Platt, Boys Basketball, Venice: Platt, a future USF commitment in football, is getting in the groove of things with basketball. From contributing to a defensive backfield to now to a backcourt on the hardwood, Platt is showing his versatility. The senior forward scored a game-high 24 points to lead Venice to a 62-60 win over Lemon Bay. 

Julius Miles, Boys Basketball, Freeport: Miles is another player that's gone gridiron-to-hardwood and performing at a high level. The Bulldogs are off and running behind the play of Miles and crew. The sophomore forward scored a game-high 27 points, grabbed 16 rebounds and dished out four assists. 

Henry Robinson Jr, Boys Basketball, Matanzas: Not many first-year players have come onto the scene like Robinson Jr. The 6-foot-7 freshman has impressed people early on this season. Robinson Jr. scored 30 points and grabbed seven rebounds in a 64-60 win over St. Augustine. 

Hendrix Loughridge, Boys Basketball, Seven Rivers Christian: The 6-foot-8 center/forward had one of the best games of the season in the Warriors' 73-60 win over First Academy. Loughridge filled up the stats sheet, scoring 31 points, grabbed 22 rebounds and blocked three shots. 

T.J. Drain, Boys Basketball, Windermere: Drain was draining buckets in a record setting night. The junior had quite the performance, putting together a single-game scoring record of 35 points, grabbing 14 rebounds in a thrilling 66-61 win against Olympia. 

Vanessa Vancott, Girls Basketball, Mater Lakes Academy: You wouldn't know it based on her play, but Vancott has impressed as a freshman. She's playing at a high level and did once again in last week's 70-40 win over Majory Stoneman Douglas. The guard scored 34 points and grabbed nine rebounds in the victory. 

Beckham Hockley, Girls Basketball, Sickles: The Gryphons' point guard led the way in a 77-24 romp over Carrollwood Day. Hockley scored 29 points on 12-of-18 shooting and also had three steals. 

Ashlyn Young, Girls Basketball, P.K. Yonge: The sophomore guard has come onto the scene this season playing some really good basketball. Young scored 20 points on 8-of-13 shooting, grabbed nine rebounds, dished out four assists and snatched three steals in the Blue Wave's 56-38 win over The Rock. 

Jakai Peterson, Girls Basketball, Sarasota Booker: When it came to the girls hoops circuit last week, Peterson stood out among the rest. The senior guard scored 31 points on 15-of-22 shooting, four steals and three boards in a 77-23 win over Fort Myers. 

Anna Kimball, Girls Basketball, Niceville: The 6-foot-2 power forward was not to be denied in the Eagles' 64-47 victory over Choctawhatchee. Kimball led the way with a team-high 20 points, pulling down nine rebounds, four assists and three blocks. 

Kiara Williams, Girls Basketball, Palm Bay: Williams has taken over a lot of leadership responsibilities this season and she made she Palm Bay came away with a win in the team's highly anticipated matchup with Plantation American Heritage. The senior had a double-double, scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds. 

Derrick Bennett, Boys Soccer, Marianna: The senior forward had another strong outing for the Bulldogs, with Bennett scoring three goals and an assists in a 4-2 win over Hamilton County.  

Ava Kanaar, Girls Soccer, Springstead: Can any defense on the North Suncoast stop the senior forward? Kanaar looked unstoppable in a 7-0 win over Hernando, with the attacker scoring five goals.
