The Buccaneers are annual hosts to one of the largest preseason flag football kickoffs in the country

Potentially, it looks like the NFL's Tampa Bay Buccaneers might be adding another big high school event under its belt coming up.

According to Joshua Wilson of FloridaHSFootball.com, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have tentatively agreed to host the Florida High School Athletic Association's (FHSAA) 2024 girls flag football state championships. The 2-day event would be held at the Buccaneers' training facility, the AdventHealth Training Center, right next to Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida.

Per the report, the state championship dates are tentative for May 10-11 (Friday-Saturday), with official game times/schedule coming at a later date.

The Buccaneers have been a major player on the high school football scene all around the last few years, including hosting Hillsborough County Media Days and the girls flag football preseason kickoff classic.

Officially, the Buccaneers will be hosting this year's preseason event at the Ed Radice Sports Complex between the dates of February 12-17. There will be an official kickoff event on the night of February 13th at Raymond James Stadium.

According to Buccaneers' officials, over 100 teams are slated to take part in the event come mid-February.
