TOP 10 HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS FLAG FOOTBALL WIDE RECEIVERS

Makenna Sturgis, Alonso: Nearly impossible to keep under wraps defensively, Sturgis was one of the state’s best. Last season, Sturgis hauled in 73 catches for 1,300 yards and 34 touchdowns.

Manasvi Vijayaraghavan, Robinson: Another Tampa Bay area pass catcher that teams couldn’t stop was the Robinson wide receiver. Last season, Vijayaraghavan had 94 catches, 1,182 yards and 26 touchdowns.

London Jenkins, Fleming Island: The Golden Eagles liked going to the air a lot last season and much of that can be attributed to Jenkins. Jenkins had 59 catches, 950 yards and 18 touchdowns last season.

Grayce Bird, Lennard: When you think of all around receivers, Bird fits the bill. The Longhorns’ go-to-target hauled in 109 passes for 1,220 yards and 18 touchdowns.

Nandi Ramessar, Western: Down in South Florida, there was no wide receiver that played the position better than Ramessar. The wideout caught 105 passes, 1,064 yards and scored 17 touchdowns.

Nichelle Brown, Bradford: Saying Brown went off last season is an understatement. The Bradford stud had 112 catches for 1,969 yards and 29 touchdowns. Also added 63 carries, 909 yards and 14 touchdowns on the ground.

Danielle White, FSU High: White was one of the Big Bend’s top players, regardless of position. The wide receiver had 65 catches for 934 yards and 13 touchdowns. Also added 88 carries, 795 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Ella Casey, Pompano Beach: The senior enters the 2024 season as one of the top returning pass catchers from last year. Casey caught 93 passes for 1,383 yards and 14 touchdowns.

Gaby Rourke, Atlantic Coast: A Kentucky signee for soccer, the senior is without a doubt one of the best receivers not only in the state, but in the country. Rourke is a U.S. Army All-American, with the future Kentucky goalkeeper being named the MVP of the U.S. Army All-American Game.

Delanie Doty, Somerset Academy-Canyons: No one caught more passes offensively than Doty in 2023. She returns aiming to be among one of the leaders again, with Doty catching 134 passes for 1,196 yards and 14 touchdowns.
