Amaree Williams, 4-star defensive end, commits to Florida State

Benjamin (Florida) four-star defensive end Amaree Williams made his commitment on Saturday afternoon to the Seminoles

It’s not everyday you see a commitment come via landing by yacht, but it is 2024.

That was the way Benjamin senior defensive end Amaree Williams wanted to make a grand entrance prior to announcing his college commitment.

Williams ended up deciding right in the Sunshine State where he could be seeing smooth sailing ahead. The 4-star rated defensive end committed to Florida State on Saturday afternoon at the Sailfish Marina Resort in Riviera Beach.

Williams, a 6-foot-4, 215-pound edge rusher racked up 34 tackles, eight for loss and four sacks, along the way getting the attention of some major universities last season for the Buccaneers.

Also played some offense at Benjamin last season, catching 16 passes for 424 yards and seven touchdowns.
