Here are the candidates for SBLive’s Florida High School Softball Coach of the Week of Feb. 19-Feb. 24 as nominated by SBLive’s staff. Read through the nominees and cast your vote at the bottom of the page. Voting will conclude on Sunday at 11:59 p.m. and the winner will be announced Monday, Mar. 4th. 


Here are the nominees: 

Kristie Delk, East Lake: The Eagles are off to a hot start under Delk, shutting out Clearwater and Seminole by a combined 21-0. They enter Week 2 with an undefeated mark. 

Samuel Spence, Miami Northwestern: One thing the Bulls know what to do under Spence is score a bunch of runs. Through the first two games, Miami Northwestern went 2-0, scoring an astounding 60 runs. 

Franklin Griffis, Baker County: Neither of the first two opponents of the Wildcats were finding it easy to get on the scoreboard. Griffis' club went 2-0 in Week, defeating Trinity Christian Academy and Hilliard. 

Mark Boretti, Wellington: The Wolverines are sizzling after the first couple of games under Boretti. Wellington's victories have come against Centennial and Palm Beach Central, allowing just two runs between the two. 

Kurt Goluba, River Ridge: Goluba and the Royal Knights are perfect through two games, not just in their record but allowing runs as well. River Ridge has out-scored its first two opponents a combined 29-0.
