The Florida High School Softball season is in full swing and we continue with our Player of the Week polls for areas all around the state.

This week we have 10 athletes nominated this week for the SBLive’s Florida Panhandle High School Softball Player of the Week award from March 4-9, and we ask you, the fans, to help decide who should indeed be the top athlete selected. Voting will conclude on Sunday, March 17th at 11:59 p.m. The winner will be announced in next week's poll.

This poll is specifically for fans to vote on the players that have been nominated and in no way discredits any other player that may not be mentioned in our poll.

Here are this week's nominees:

Jayden Heavener, Pace: The senior went 4-6 with three RBIs and one home run as Pace continues their dominance in the panhandle. She also pitched five innings combined in both games and had 16 strikeouts.

Shelby McKenzie, Pace: McKenzie tallied three hits in five at bats last week. She also had one RBI and one home run and scored four runs.

Kaycee McLellan, Arnold: McLellan went 4-7 with two doubles and three RBIs last week. She also scored three runs in Arnold’s victory over Bay.

Mykenzi Smith, P/2B, Leon: In Leon’s only game last week, Smith went 2-4 with one home run. The senior also scored two runs and had two RBIs.

Chyanne Gregor, Walton: The freshman had four hits with seven at bats in Walton’s three games. She proved her worth behind the plate as she had one double and five RBIs.

Cambell Toolan, Crestview: In Crestview’s win over Paxton, Toolan was 2-3 with two RBIs. The sophomore also had one extra base hit and scored four runs.

Olivia Hernandez, Lincoln: Lincoln picked up their first win of the season over Chiles, and Hernandez was a big reason why. She was 3-4 with two doubles and two RBIs. She also had one put out and assist in the field.

Lauren Grantham, Liberty County: Grantham was a perfect 3-3 behind the plate as Liberty County defeated North Florida Christian last week. The senior had one double, two RBIs and scored twice.

Lemay Sullivan, OF/RHP, Freeport: Sullivan went 2-3 with two RBIs and a triple as Freeport defeated Walton. She also stole one base and scored one run as she helped her team to victory.

Ella Troutt, South Walton: The senior had a huge day at the plate as her two hits were both home runs. She had four RBIs and scored once more in addition to her two home runs. She also pitched five innings and recorded nine strikeouts while allowing only one walk and two hits.
