Jonathan Bueno Jr., 2027 ATH, transfers from True North Classical to Western

Bueno Jr. totaled nearly 1,500 yards and 20 touchdowns in 2023

One of the top freshman high school football players from the 2023 Florida season has transferred just a month and a half away from spring ball starting up on April 29. 

According to The Portal 305, 2027 athlete Jonathan Bueno Jr. is transferring from True North Classical to Western High School. It's the latest big time transfer to come out of South Florida. 

Last season for the Class 1M state semifinalist Knights, Bueno Jr. was an intricate piece to the offense. Running the ball, the freshman rushed for 988 yards on 118 carries and scored 17 touchdowns. Lining up wide and catching passes, Bueno Jr. hauled in 18 passes for 264 yards and three touchdowns. 

Bueno Jr. joins a Western team that's coming off a 9-4 season and competed in the Broward County Classic to kickoff the campaign. On Jan. 16, Bueno was able to notch his first Division I offer from Florida International University.
