Tampa Bay Buccaneers to host regular season flag football game

Alonso will face Newsome on March 26th at the AdventHealth Training Center

TAMPA, FLORIDA- Get ready high school girls flag football fans. 

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are set to host a regular season flag football game at their facilities, which are also set to host the Florida High School Athletic Association's (FHSAA) state championships. 

According to a post by the NFL youth flag league 'Pirate Bay', the Buccaneers will host Alonso-Newsome at the AdventHealth Training Center on March 26th (Tuesday) at 7:30 p.m.

The game is a 'home' game for Newsome, who are currently 4-3 on the season. The Wolves will host Alonso (7-0), the defending Class 2A state champions from 2023. 

In the email that was sent to Pirate Bay, the Buccaneers stated that the event will be free to the public and the NFL franchise will be adding elements that will enhance the game experience. 

The Buccaneers made it official back on Valentine's Day about hosting the 2024 FHSAA girls flag football state championships. The 2-day event (May 10-11) will also be held at the Buccaneers' training facility.
