The Florida High School Baseball season is in full swing and we are set to honor the week's top stars with our Player of the Week polls for areas all around the state.

This week we have 10 athletes nominated this week for the SBLive’s Florida Panhandle High School Baseball Player of the Week award from March 11-16, and we ask you, the fans, to help decide who should indeed be the top athlete selected. Voting will conclude on Sunday, March 24th at 11:59 p.m. The winner will be announced in next week's poll.

Here are this week's nominees:

Joseph McRoy, 1B/UTIL, FAMU DRS: In their win last week versus Baker County (GA), McRoy was 4-4 with two doubles and six RBIs. He was also a problem on the base paths as he had two stolen bases and scored three runs.

Alphonza Gammons, 1B/P/UTIL, FAMU DRS: Gammons also had an outstanding game for the Baby Rattlers as he was 3-3 with six RBIs including one double. He also stole one base and scored three runs.

Jay Campbell, 3B/P, Leon: Campbell pitched 6.1 innings and struck out nine batters while allowing only one run in their win versus Santa Fe Catholic (Lakeland, FL).

Garrett Workman, LHP/1B/OF, North Florida Christian: The senior pitched seven innings and recorded 13 strikeouts. He also allowed only three hits and two walks in their 5-0 win over Spanish Fort (AL).

Ryan Laymon, RHP/OF, Arnold: In the 12-2 win over Rickards, Laymon was successful hitting and pitching. He pitched 2.2 innings and struck out five batters. He then hit one home run with four RBIs in the win.

Alex Goodwin, OF/RHP/2B, Bozeman: The freshman tallied four hits with six RBIs in three games last week. He also scored one run in each game.

Lakota Johnson, SS/P/OF, North Bay Haven Academy: In the 13-3 win over Freeport, Johnson allowed three hits and struck out nine batters. The junior also hit two double and recorded three RBIs in the win. In the win over Destin, Johnson added a home run and drove in four runs.

Connor Barton, Marianna: In Marianna’s two wins last week, Barton tallied five hits with one RBI and successfully stole three bases as the Bulldogs outscored their opponents 21-0.

Jeremiah Blair, Niceville: In two games, Blair hit two solo home runs and he also picked up the save and struck out one batter in the win over St. Augustine.

Caleb Bates, 1B/3B/RHP, Escambia: In the win over Booker T. Washington (Pensacola), Bates was 2-3 with three RBIs. He also had one stolen base and scored two runs.
