Mainland (Florida) tabs Jerrime Bell as next head football coach: Report

Bell is the first cousin of former Mainland head coach Travis Roland

Mainland High School has found its next head football coach and they didn’t go far whatsoever from the family of former head coach Travis Roland.

According to a report by the Daytona Beach News-Journal’s Chris Boyle, the Buccaneers have tabbed Port Orange Atlantic head coach Jerrime Bell as the program’s new lead man. Bell is the first cousin of Rolson.

It was just last season that Bell guided the Sharks to a Class 2S, District 8 championship. Atlantic finished the 2023 season with a record of 5-6.

In three seasons at the helm, Bell led the Sharks to a record of 10-19 from 2021-2023.

He takes over for Roland, who left Mainland to become the head coach at Camden County High School in Georgia. Roland led the Buccaneers to the Class 3S state championship over St. Augustine last season.
