THREE TO SEE

Marco Notarainni, linebacker

The tall, rangy defender had a breakout sophomore season
that yielded offers from Oregon State, San Diego State, and Utah State with
more on the way.

Grant Anderson, linebacker

The hard-hitting middle linebacker picked up significant
experience a season ago while adding offers from Army, Navy, and Columbia.

Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi, quarterback

Success in the summer showed he’s ready to manage the offense as he makes his varsity debut.

OUTLOOK

The Falcons are talented on both sides of the ball but don’t
have much experience returning. All 369 points scored in 2018 were tallied from
players that have since graduated.

The top six rushers for Torrey Pines in 2018 combined for 3,169
yards, but they’ve all now graduated. The Falcons Wing-T attack will look for
someone to emerge among running backs Cael Helfrich, Dorian Lewis, and Tyler
Wheeler.

Two early games against Los Alamitos and San Clemente plus the gauntlet known as the Avocado League will force a young Falcons team to grow up quickly as they head towards the playoffs.
