OUTLOOK

One of the best players in program history, Wright-Jackson knew his first season returning to his alma mater would likely be a struggle.

And he warns that the Bulldogs, who have won just four games in the past six years, will show better in his second season.

He is going away from the wishbone attack, instead opting for an offense he enjoyed a great deal while playing at Hawaii -- the run-and-shoot.

Juniors Angel Valencia and Armani Reyes are still in a battle for starting quarterback, and the coach sees playing both QBs all season, depending on who has the hot hand.

He has a pair of potentially dynamic wide receivers in Licon, who has turned heads with his toughness this spring, and Mitchell, who is a burner. And watch out for Sergio Avina, a slot receiver last season who is transitioning to a pass-catching tailback.
