THREE TO SEE
Luke Amble, running back / safety
Replaces an all-league running back this year; will make an impact on both sides of the ball.
Matthew Einert, tight end
The sophomore has a solid frame, and coach Fiala is excited to get him the ball this season.
Cameron Kohlruss, quarterback / defensive back
Second year as a starter at QB, but first year under OC Lawson’s zone run scheme.
OUTLOOK
It will be a completely new look for Cedarcrest football in 2019. First-year head coach John Fiala hopes to turn around a program that hasn’t seen the playoffs since 1996.
Last year’s crew was very senior-heavy, but was unable to emerge as a dominant program in the NWC Lake Division.
The Red Wolves lose three all-league selections moving into this season, and will boast a very young core.
Coach Fiala says that Cedarcrest will be “focusing on building a fundamentally strong offense, defense and special teams."
The Red Wolves hope to break the spell this season, and just might have the talent to do something special.
