OUTLOOK

After graduating 16 seniors, including 10 who started, the Warriors knew it was going to be an uphill climb to get into playoff contention this season.

But right before training camp opened, their best player -- all-SPSL 2A first-team offensive lineman Fili Fata, who has a scholarship offer from Eastern Washington University -- suffered his second serious knee injury in three years, and will miss his entire senior season.

That absence on both sides of the ball will put more pressure on Salanoa to produce his best season as the signal caller. He has been inconsistent, but when he gets on a roll, he is tough to slow down as a dual threat.

Alston will likely be the focal point on offense, and not only gives Salanoa a speed-burning threat, but he will also be utilized on fly sweeps just to get the football in his hands.
