Chiawana's Dion Lee voted the WaFd Bank Washington Athlete of the Week
Congratulations to Chiawana High School football player Dion Lee for being voted our Washington Federal Athlete of the Week!
Lee, a senior wide receiver and defensive back, had two touchdown catches -- including a 73-yard score -- and intercepted a pass on defense in Chiawana's 21-20 loss to Union on Friday, Sept. 27.
Lee received 34% of the vote, beating out Kennewick RB Myles Mayovsky who finished with 33%. Sumner kicker Wyatt Redding finished third with 8% and Spanaway Lake WR Deonte Hayes finished fourth.

Devon Nofoa-Masoe, Lakes RB/LB: Nofoa-Masoe rushed eight times for 71 yards and 4 TDs and caught a 78-yard TD pass in Lakes' 67-0 win over Stadium. He also had five solo tackles and a sack on defense.
Jacques Badolato-Birdsell, Camas RB: Badolato-Birdsell had 26 carries for 137 yards and a touchdown in Camas' 24-7 win over Bellevue.
Junior Alexander, Kennedy Catholic WR: Alexander had 9 receptions for 172 yards and a career-best five touchdowns in the Lancers' 48-0 victory over Tahoma.
Caleb Shawen, Mead RB: Shawen carried the ball 20 times for 181 yards in Mead's 34-28 win over Mt. Spokane.
Trent Gwinn, Pomeroy RB: Gwinn had 5 carries for 107 yards and 2 TDs, 4 receptions for 127 yards and 3 TDs and a 70-yard punt return for a touchdown in Pomeroy's 62-6 win over Yakima Tribal.
Torrey Bannan, Orting TE/LB: Bannan had 12 tackles and three interceptions -- including a pick six -- in Orting's 41-21 win over River Ridge. He also had 3 catches for 30 yards.
Myles Mayovsky, Kennewick RB: Mayovsky had 178 yards rushing on 30 carries in Kennewick's 42-18 upset of Kamiakin.
Ashton Haight, Onalaska FB: Haight carried the ball 38 times for 270 yards and a touchdown in No. 1 Onalaska's 42-6 victory over Pe Ell-Willapa Valley. He also blocked a punt.
Kannon Katzer, Mt. Spokane RB: Katzer rushed for 284 yards and four TDs on 30 carries in Mt. Spokane's 34-28 loss to Mead.
Paxton Russell, Tenino WR: Russell had 8 receptions for 231 yards and three touchdowns and added a rushing TD in Tenino's victory over Northwest Christian/Life Christian.
Nathan Blauman, Wenatchee RB: Blauman rushed for 291 yards and six touchdowns in Wenatchee's 49-28 CBBN victory over Eisenhower.
Dawson Cairns, Cedarcrest WR: Cairns had 9 receptions for 135 yards and added 4 tackles on defense in Cedarcrest's 22-18 win over Bellingham. Six of his nine catches were for first downs.
Deonte Hayes, Spanaway Lake WR: Hayes had 6 receptions for 122 yards and 4 TDs, plus an interception and a fumble recovery in Spanaway Lake's win over Mount Tahoma.
Jesse Sandretzky, Sumner RB: Sandretzky ran for 201 yards and 3 touchdowns in Sumner's 41-0 win over Curtis.
Claudell Quinland, Franklin Pierce QB: Quinland passed for 271 yards and four touchdowns in Franklin Pierce's 27-0 victory over White River.
Wyatt Redding, Sumner K: Redding kicked a career-long 51-yard field goal in Sumner's win over Curtis.
