Congratulations to Lambert softball player Katelyn Boyette, the winner of SBLive Georgia's Athlete of Week award as voted by Georgia high school sports fans.

Boyette won the award with 58.71% of the state-wide vote after hitting a solo home run to lift her team to a 1-0 victory over Buford. It was Buford's only loss this season as they won their 11th state softball championship over the weekend.

Here are all the other athletes that were nominated for Oct. 17-23:

Hayden Hermansen, North Gwinnett Cross Country

The freshman was 30 seconds in front of the next closest runner and won the boys title in 16:53.50 in the Region 7-AAAAAA Cross Country Championships.

Tori Meyer, North Gwinnett Cross Country

Meyer won the girls individual title with a time of 18:53.90 and was 50 seconds faster than the next runner.

Geimere Latimer, Sandy Creek Football

Latimer completed 11 of 18 passes for 250 yards and five touchdowns, he also was the Patriots leading rusher with 96 yards on the ground.

Reece Fountain, Rome Football

Fountain led the charge in a 56-7 blowout over River Ridge. He had 338 yards through the air and four touchdowns.

Ashley Sturzoiu, Buford Volleyball

Sturzoiu powered the Wolves with 21 kills, 10 digs and four aces in a sweep of Cherokee.

Roderick McCrary, Creekside Football

McCrary was Creekside’s offense in the win over Villa Rica. He ended the game with 187 yards on the ground and three touchdowns.

Shayla Bahr, Wesleyan Softball

Bahr was on fire at the plate. She went 3-3 with a home run and a stolen base to help Wesleyan get to the Elite Eight.

Aaron Philo, Prince Avenue Christian Football

Aaron Philo led the way, he completed 17 of 21 passes for 372 yards and five touchdowns.

Abby McKinnis, Buford Softball

McKinnis homered twice and drove in three runs in the victory over Dacula.

Tyson Greenwade, Dalton Football

Its been eights games that Tyson Greenwade has played in, and after rushing for 120 yards and a score verssu Calhoun he has ran for over 100 yards in each game so far this season.

James Tyre, Lambert Football

Tyre balled out in the win over Denmark. The quarterback scored four touchdowns to lead the way in the Longhorns eighth straight victory.

Jeremy Hecklinski, Walton Football

Hecklinski was the main key to the Raiders offense. He threw four touchdowns in the blowout win over Cherokee and also had two rushing touchdowns.

Quan Moss, Elbert County Football

In a season where Moss has displayed pure dominance, he may have had his best game in the win over Commerce. He ran the ball 34 times for 206 yards and five touchdowns.

Jordan Triplett, Frederica Academy Football

Triplett had the best game of his career in the win over Bulloch Academy. He ran the ball 31 times and had a season high 343 rushing yards and a season high four touchdowns.
